Syringes and hypodermic needles

At Nile Air, we prioritize the safety and comfort of all our passengers. 

  • If you require syringes or hypodermic needles during your travels, we kindly ask that you provide a prescription or note from a registered physician to carry them on board. 
  • Additionally, we ask that you dispose of used syringes or needles in a safe and responsible manner, and not in seat pockets or without the protective caps.
  • Our cabin crew is always available to assist you with the safe disposal of your syringes and/or needles.

Medication

At Nile Air, we care about the health and well-being of all our passengers. 

  • If you have a medical condition, we recommend consulting your physician to ensure that you are fit to travel. 
  • Please note that certain medical conditions may require you to obtain medical clearance MEDIF before flying with us.
  • To help make your journey as comfortable as possible, we encourage you to bring enough medication for your entire trip, which should be kept in your hand luggage and not checked in. 
  • Additionally, it's a good idea to carry a letter from your physician outlining your medical condition and the medication(s) you require.

Medical clearance

At Nile Air, we are committed to providing our passengers with safe and comfortable journeys. 

  • If you require special attention or need to use medical equipment on board our flights, such as a supplementary oxygen tank, or if there are concerns about your fitness to travel, you will need to obtain medical clearance from a doctor. 
  • Please note that additional medical review may be required on a case-by-case basis.
  • To obtain medical clearance, simply complete Nile Air MEDIF and submit it to your local Nile Air office or contact our customer experience. 
  • We kindly request that you inform us of your travel plans as early as possible, and at least 5 working days before your scheduled flight, to allow sufficient time for the processing of your medical clearance.

Medical conditions

At Nile Air, we want to ensure that all of our passengers have a safe and pleasant flight experience. 

  • While most medical conditions do not prevent passengers from flying, it's important to note that cabin pressure can reach the atmospheric pressure at an altitude of 5,000 to 7,000 feet, which may require certain precautions for some medical conditions.
  • Please be aware that, for safety reasons, seats in the emergency exit row are not available for passengers with certain medical conditions. 
  • We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and encourage you to contact our customer service team if you have any questions or concerns.

Personal medical equipment

  • To ensure the safety and comfort of all our passengers, it is mandatory to obtain approval for the use of electrical and electronic medical equipment on board our flights. 
  • This is to ensure that the equipment does not interfere with the aircraft's navigation and communication systems. 
  • If your medical equipment causes interference, our cabin crew may ask you to turn it off. 
  • Please note that passengers are required to operate their medical equipment without assistance from our cabin crew. 
  • If you are travelling with electrical or electronic medical equipment, we kindly request that you make the necessary arrangements with your local Nile Air office in advance of your flight.
